Meh. "Smoking gun" has negative connotations, even from the Wikipedia definition. The definition you provided for silver bullet is exactly what George asks for. The "difficult problem" is a person's cognitive dissonance towards flat earth. The "quick solution" is a short, but very solid piece of information that would shatter the dissonance. Overloading with information wouldn't persuade them, usually. So you need to be able to quickly provide a solution to their difficult problem. Hence, "What are your five silver bullets"? ( George also clarifies this sometimes by saying,"If you were in an elevator with someone, what would you say?" That's a quick conversation.

I like asking other Christians the same thing. I add another humbling element though. Ask the person if they think they are wiser than Josh, abs also ask them if they beleive they have a better relationship with God than Josh did. I find that most of these people who disregard the bible for allegory when it suits them best. They don't realize that by applying modern "science" to the bible, that they all too often are calling honorable, and much nobler figures than ourselves, fools. So ask them if they think Joshua was a fool. Or if Moses didn't know what he was taking about when he recorded the words of Genesis. The authors of the Bible were not fools.

I'm not sure of the shape. May never know. But I can create the same "round" effect as the moon with the INSIDE of a bowl, and a flashlight. I find this same method allows me to make the moon phases more accurately than I could with a convex/ball surface. Try it out. Just use any bowl that is not clear/see-through. Hold the bowl out in front of you, with the inside of the bowl fscing towards you, then shine the flashlight in from an angle at the side of the bowl, and slightly in front of it, and you'll see what I'm talking about. I just can't wait for them to finally unveil space cowboy recreational activities. I mean, Tesla has a Roadster out in space, and dogs and monkeys were the first ones peeing in their space suits, so how bout we get a horse up there? That way we could actually use the extra acreage that the asteroid would provide. I vote that a covenant entity like the University of Texas BUY the asteroid acreage with their hard earned money. Then they can charge me a license fee to hunt space wabbits on it once they have raped it of all resources. Was that off topic?
