Pilots always say there is no reference to the curvature of the earth in their handbook. Do you know how the navigation systems planes rely on do all the calculations. Do your handbooks go into any detail?
Specifically how would the Nav system determine the "precise final approach fix" aka the "PF AF". What is the formula it uses to do so?
My grandson is in flight school and just finished his cross country solo. I asked if there is any mention in any of their instruction and calculations for the earth curvature and he said "they have never mentioned that"
