I was sent this Tik Tok video today. It's a cool video but definitely fake as to the fact that the person who posted this video is claiming that it is proof that the earth rotates. I want to explain to the person who sent me this video why it is fake and how it was done but I am not good at understanding how it was done then relaying that information. The dozen or so comments out of the 30,000+ were all "those flat earthers are so dumb they still wouldnt believe the earth isnt flat after seeing this!" in some form or another.

THE FLAT EARTH

If you think the earth rotates, you see rotation. If you think earth is flat and stationary, the sky is moving. Not exactly proof, which makes FE types roll their eyes when the arguments against are stuff like this, which doesn't prove anything.
yeah that looked like it was going 1000 miles per hour...😂
Is the camera floating locked in place for the earth to "rotate" under it lol. Is there a magic rock you put your camera on and the earth spins underneath. There are many timelapse videos of the night sky and the camera doesn't tilt from one side to the other to create a "rotating" effect. This video is clearly misleading.
The camera is locked onto certain stars because it is mounted to a computerized telescope mount. It is in fact showing the earth rotate. It keeps the camera oriented to the stars in the same position. Good example of the mount would be a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer 2i. Its sold as a camera mount, but can use both.
The camera is moving, its tilting over to keep the same stars in the same orientation. which is does. Its not fake.
yeah camera is slowing moving, look up time lapse night sky,the sky moves not the earth
This is hilarious! I'm not a photographer but it seems like the camera is on a timelapse while slowly moving. The camera shown at the beginning looks like its tilted to one side and the video looks like the camera slowly tilts to the other side. And the earth still looks flat.
This video does not proove a rotating earth unless it was uspended in the atmosphere that supposedly is dragged with the rotation of the earth, but yet it opposed that rotation "magically."
